BarkParks Support & Legal
Accessibility Statement
Effective Date: June 16, 2026 · Last Updated: June 16, 2026
Our commitment: BarkParks aims to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA so more dog families can plan adventures with confidence.
1. Accessibility Commitment
We design and maintain BarkParks with accessibility in mind. Our goal is to make the site perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for as many people as possible, including visitors using screen readers, keyboards, switch devices, voice tools, zoom, or reduced-motion settings.
2. Standards We Aim to Meet
We work toward conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Accessibility is an ongoing practice, not a one-time launch item, so we continue reviewing pages as features change.
3. Accessibility Features on BarkParks
Keyboard support
We use visible focus styles, skip links, and keyboard-friendly navigation patterns.
Readable design
We aim for clear heading structure, readable color contrast, and plain-language content.
Responsive layouts
Pages are built to work across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices without losing core content.
Alternative text
We work to provide useful text alternatives for meaningful images and controls.
4. Third-Party Content
Some embedded services, including map tiles, analytics tools, or affiliate widgets, are controlled by third parties such as Leaflet/OpenStreetMap, Google, Firebase, or Amazon Associates. We cannot control every part of those tools, but we evaluate them and try to use them responsibly.
5. Known Limitations
Interactive map experiences can be more complex than standard pages. We continue improving labels, focus order, touch targets, and alternative ways to access key park information when map-heavy layouts would otherwise create barriers.
6. Feedback and Support
If you run into an accessibility barrier, please tell us the page URL, what you were trying to do, and what assistive technology or device you were using. We review accessibility feedback and prioritize meaningful fixes.
