Security & Privacy
Last reviewed: June 16, 2026
BarkParks is a free consumer travel-planning site. We keep the data we collect to a minimum and protect it with standard, current security practices. This page explains those practices in plain language and how to reach us with a security or privacy concern.
How we protect your information
Encrypted connections
The entire site is served over HTTPS (TLS), so traffic between you and BarkParks is encrypted in transit.
Limited data, limited access
We collect only what a feature needs — like a saved trip or an account — and access to it is restricted. Admin access requires multi-factor authentication.
Backups & recovery
Site content and account data are backed up so we can recover from a problem without losing your information.
Trusted providers
We rely on established infrastructure providers (such as Google Firebase) that encrypt data at rest and run their own security programs.
Responsible Disclosure Policy
Security contact: security@barkparks.dog
Response commitment: We acknowledge good-faith reports within 24 hours and triage within 72 hours.
Safe harbor: If you act in good faith, avoid privacy violations, service disruption, destructive testing, and data exfiltration, BarkParks will treat your research as authorized.
Your privacy rights
For what we collect, why, and how to access or delete your data, see our Privacy Policy and Data Rights page. Privacy questions? Email privacy@barkparks.dog.
